Barcelona - beach!

After a very long plane trip we arrived in Barcelona with somewhat heavy hearts to discover the loss of our beloved university president, Elson Floyd. He impacted us in so many positive ways.
Zach, being the intelligent young Coug that he is, reached into his bag and broke out the flag which we will fly in EFlo's honor during our travel.

Today we had tapas (small plates) of chorizo, jamon and olives with sangria for lunch before walking from the Barri Gotic area where our apartment is to the beach. The Mediterranean is so blue that I can't tell where the sea ends and the sky begins on the horizon.

After walking a few miles we returned for a siesta and are now heading to dinner.

Tomorrow we visit la Sagrada Familia, Gaudis unfinished yet a work in progress church.

Tapas,

And sangria!

The Mediterranean and its sun worshipers.
We need to get a box for Kathy to stand on.
Our neighborhood for the next 4 days.
